As many of us remember, Nissan/Datsun used to be the guys who built cars equal to Toyota, but with a lot more fun and bit of swagger. They had starch in their suspensions and performance/styling/steering feel, etc. that was a cut above.
i dunno man. it’s just hard for me to imagine telling a company the key to their recovery and success is to be like Mazda.
I would argue Nissan has both the tools and know how to be a volume player, yet, do they have the will power to make the systemic changes where superior product attributes rule their strategy as opposed to being just “good enough”?
Nissan made their own bed, they were once on the same plane as Honda and Toyota in terms of quality and desirability.
