It’s where he kisses her that causes the problems. And the motorboating.

I also think that, on reflection, she’s probably gonna be cool with it. Like, it’s a very specific situation that probably shouldn’t be used to inform how we normally behave. Don’t go around kissing random sleeping people. Do kiss your one true love and magically bring them back to life.

Exactly. I wonder if the basic, fairy-tale style, story (a bit like a Bunraku?) was the problem because the look and feel of the thing was incredible.

(Also, I really like most of Solo and she is fine in it. Her willingness to deliver that god awful and totally unnecessary exposition at the beginning gets her an extra point from me too.)

Slightly kinder hot take: Emilia Clarke is pretty, boring and makes crappy movies.

Is this less terrifying than Subnautica? I’ve got a bit of a phobia about stuff lurking under the sea, which actually makes me want to play these games, but I could only manage about 15 minutes of Subnautica.

“Golden Wii” just sounds filthier. I’m off to take a shower.

Always enjoy seeing Hartnett. I know some people hate him but I think he’s very good at what he does. I saw Bunraku for the first time recently and that film kicks ass.

Get Richard Ayoade to present it and I’m in.

Weird. I’m not normally in tune with these things but it seemed very clear that he was at least a bit interested in dudes. And I thought it was very cool of them to just put it out there and not make it into anything else.

I cried in the cinema, that’s for sure.

I quite enjoyed Escape Plan.

It’s Yoda level awkward.

Maybe The Hunt For Red October’s (1990) warm reception made starting over with another part one more appealing than trying to sequelize such a well-liked movie.

I’m sitting on my mystery space right now. Who dares enter?

He’s very good on the Off Menu podcast this week.

Comedy?

They suck.

My wife was on the pill when I met her and she didn’t suffer any side-effects other than occasional migraines (which sounds bad enough to me). When she decided that she should stop taking the pill, as the migraines became more frequent, I went for a vasectomy. Now, here’s where it gets really interesting...

“You can fined for breaking wind” is an insane thing to try and make into a law anyway.
