Yeah, my feeling on it is that it just took longer for his sense of humour to mature than most people (or most people in the public eye, anyway). Those were the sort of tasteless jokes we would make at high school and part of the point is that they are so awful.

Which is your favourite No Retreat, No Surrender film? I haven’t seen them for years but I loved those movies.
