What kind of transmission are they using in the test mule? Everything I've read about the S60/V60, including the Polestar variants, is that the 6-speed auto really lets the car down. I understand they may not want to invest in a double clutch box of their own, but is there really any excuse to NOT use the fantastic ZF…

Pretty much yup. All of the bangle era 7s were disgusting. The e60/e61 is really only good looking in M5 guise, even the M-sports are only so-so. The Z4s are meh (but so are the new ones). Worst of all is the e63/e64 6 series. If anything it has got worse over time.

Hopefully it's enough that they can ditch Maldonado and his Venezuelan money. There are far more qualified drivers that deserve a seat.

But there are at least half a dozen E63 Wagons (inlcluding at least 2 new awd "S" models) rolling around Vancouver. But unfortunately there are X6Ms and X5Ms EVERYWHERE. Including my dad's garage (X5M).
