Most of your concerns here are pretty fair. I don't think you are giving newswire a fair shake. Maybe i'm missing something… but I haven't noticed a significant dip in quality as the writers have changed. Also I would say that I prefer for the content to just be dumped in my lap, as opposed to some big end of 2015…

Opinion 1: I'm young, so this is the first Sleater-Kinney album I've sat down with. Song composition is really good, but I'm not in love with Carrie's voice…. and the albums from many of the newer artists on this list feel more unique and remarkable.
