@Hoonda: I think I remember hearing something about that game but I had no idea there were race tracks.

@RoboRed loves his blue ovals: Sandbox was a DLC map that came out last summer I think and people were using the forge editor to make to truly crazy stuff. Racing these tracks on the twitchy, oversteer happy quads just makes it that much more difficult.

Now playing

The sandbox race tracks from Halo 3. I know it's not a racing game but some of the player created tracks are insane.

@BrtStlnd: NEW YORK SHOULD NOT HAVE CHICANES! I got so pissed when I discovered that yesterday.

Boy even a low speed crash and your out $23k in turbo and intercooler parts.

@zekedawg00: They are frighteningly good. Bimota is known for making extremely light weight bikes that are powered by tuned Ducati engines.

Moral of this story...never assume the man driving the pink bus backwards can see you

Hmmm up-armoring a truck that is built on an old Tahoe chassis that can barely cope, that makes loads of sense.

I was unaware that black Stig came back from his murky grave and decided to race Pikes Peak.

@Adam Spano: The ran the higher power tune for qualifying then they backed if off to the 700-800hp mark for the race

A Springfield Rolls-Royce Phantom I either a Mulliner Limo or a Brewster All Weather Convertible. It's classic, comfortable, plenty of room to sleep in, and it's just gorgeous.

I am a huge fan of the BMW art car. I love that they are carrying on the tradition and did a really good job with this one. Talk about intimidation factor.

@Turbineguy - now with reheat!!: Yeah but the Q7 has the massive turbo V12 TDI not the little 2.0T that they put in the Jetta, Golf, and A3 TDI cars.

@subscript: Great movie and legally free on iTunes

Thank you so much for that smokey, wrinkled sidewall, wheel standing, and amazingly retro midday distraction.

@nataku8_e30: They used to run desmo valve trains on old F1 cars before the switch to pneumatic valves

I got tagged by an estimate of 85 in a 35. Did I mention that it was a secondary road with no street lights in a black car at night. I had to fight that one and the oh so kind judge only reduced it by $50 but then made me pay the $40 court fee.

I was actually fortunate enough to see a V-22 flying down the Hudson river during fleet week last week. Quite the bit of engineering.

I can hear the excuses already "but I blew up second gear using the launch control"

Best of luck in any future endeavors. It was always a pleasure reading your articles.
