It’s also a matter of presentation. Having a civil discourse is one thing, preaching is another. I don’t react well to preaching, which is what I felt she was doing. Once I snapped at her we worked through it. I agree with most of what you said.

Oh I know. I’ve had the same thing happen, which is why I found amusement in her comment. However, using one perceived negative to reinforce another perceived negative certainly isn’t going to help her cause. :)

I find it both disheartening and amusing that a women who is feeling negatively stereotyped feels the need to champion her cause by using another negative stereotype. Try harder and better Kara.

I love this build - and I don’t say that easily. I wasn’t expecting it either, I just thought I was installing a little upgrade. Surprise! Everything runs smoother, and I’m glad they moved away from what I call “Microsoft blue” to the green (which is a really nice shade of green imo.)

Our hvac is over 10 yrs old, and I’ve already informed MrBeard that we need to look into a unit that includes a dehumidifier. His (totally) mature response is to stick his fingers in his ears and walk away. But we have a small house and hopefully by the time we need to replace it it’ll be relatively inexpensive.…

Unless you’re part of a duo I’d discourage it. These are not men that you want to be around if you’re in trouble. Unlike Lisa in “Ice Road Truckers” the reality for women truckers is dangerous as hell. I’ve fantasized about it, but I’ve been around truckers and knew it would never be anything more than that.
