They have great radio commercials though!

Anywhere to Tail of the Dragon and its many surrounding roads. NC/TN smoky mountains have so many fantastic roads to explore. Sure, the dragon is the draw, but can often be crowded. You don’t have to look hard to find roads that are as good, but much less crowded.
They’re not too bad if the maintenance is kept up to date. I suggest this motor because it’s the easiest to add power to with just a simple tune. If you want to go the reliable route, there’s always the 8V 2.0, but that isn’t gonna be easy to make power with
The fact that the Kawasaki H2R exists is mind blowing. I can’t even begin to imagine riding a bike with over 300hp.
Pretty much any motorcycle.
Came here to say any mk4 VW with a 1.8T. Cheap, available, lots of aftermarket support and many OEM+ upgrades available straight from the factory. You can essentially bolt on the whole front end of a mk1 audi tt (control arms, knuckles, steering rack, brakes etc.) for a much improved driving experience. This is the…
Carvana is probably the worst offender for mislabeling automatic cars as manual
this deserves more stars
We have a 2018 and it’s perfectly adequate. It’s not a sports car, it does its job as a family hauler and it does it well in great comfort. Heck, I even hand calculated 29.7mpg on the last tank, and ours is a 4motion car. In fact, it’s actually quicker than the mk7 TDI we sold to get it.
Same body style Jetta TDI as the one pictured, except with the earlier ALH engine that produced 90hp. Mine had sticky vanes on the turbo, so going up long hills it would go into limp mode, and I would have to put it in neutral, shut the car off and restart it at highway speeds in order to make it up the hill. In limp…
I’m curious why the fuel economy ratings vary so much between the models with the same engine. Same engine, same body style I wouldn’t expect the figures to be so different
I know it’s not a glove box, but if I remember correctly the Pontiac Aztek had a removable cooler as a center console
Smokers who throw their cigarette butts out the window, particularly when I’m on a motorcycle. I ride my motorcycle to enjoy the outdoors and have fun, the thing I hate most is being stuck behind a slow driver and smelling their cigarettes when I just want to enjoy some fresh air.
We just got my wife a used 2018 Tiguan SEL Premium, and this car has a lot of features that I never thought were necessary, but damn are they nice to have. Adaptive cruise is probably one of my favorite, although the car is so smooth with changes to speed that sometimes I’ll set it at 75, and I don’t even notice but…
Came here to write this. My wife’s new Tiguan has this, and I absolutely HATE the fact that you have to disable it every time you get in the car, I usually forget until the first time I roll up to a stop, and it shuts off. So frustrating!
Only once on a motorcycle, which is when I found out the hard way that my petcock was set to reserve for my entire ownership up to that point.
They still make the Hayabusa???
Seat time, understanding the mechanics of basic vehicle dynamics such as weight transfer. Do I consider myself a good driver? I suppose, but it depends on what your definition of good driver is. Compared to the average driver? Probably. Compared to a racing driver? Hell no. Most of it is becoming familiar with your…
My answer is a car that isn’t actually mine, but that I’m borrowing from a friend for the purpose of autocross. I occasionally drive it to work in the offseason (now) to keep the battery charged etc. It’s a 2004 VW Jetta with solid motor mounts, a completely gutted interior, a pair of kirkeys, lexan windows, custom…
Last summer my sister called me to tell me that there was what appeared to be a real VW Golf Harlequin downtown. I immediately ran down to take photos, and sure enough it was a real one! I actually ended up meeting the owner this year at a track day!
