Nobody is forcing anyone into exclusivity deals.

This event is damning unless you have a particularly low threshold for damning.

Epic offered to put his game on their storefront if the dev agreed to exclusivity. The dev declined. Epic was like “Okay, cool.” That’s it. I just don’t understand why that’s such a big deal.

Except you can still play your PC game through a different storefront and it’s not equivalent at all.

The difference, of course, being that Windows has a near-monopolistic marketshare for PC operating systems, and Epic does not.
