Oh man, I work in a card shop, and the number of phone calls I got from people who had the complete set of these in 2021 and thought they had struck gold is wild.

“Do you buy the McDonald’s Pokemon cards?”
“Nope. They’re barely worth the paper they’re printed on.”

In my experiences with Blizzard CS, if you keep resubmitting the ticket, they’ll eventually help you out.

On the other hand, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume Three was excellent, maybe Marvel’s actual best film so far.

And I know that Ragnarok was divisive, but I wouldn’t call it mediocre (unless you meant Love and Thunder, in which case I’d probably agree with you.)

I’m being a little facetious, but I genuinely remember the movie as mostly poorly lit and with bad CGI.

Honestly Endgame just kinda looks like that. It’s not a great movie.

Ya boring.

You guys really just be saying stuff, huh.

Luckily, sometimes we have to extend definitions to fit new vistas of technology. I think plagiarism is exactly right.

What are you even talking about? Is this just a “take any opportunity to bitch about popular stuff you don’t like” post? Because that trailer didn’t give me a Marvel vibe at all.

I mean, Magic has a long-established setting with its own characters and plots. They’ve been pretty diverse for a long time, too.

They’re also making an adaptation of the Lord of the Rings that is also diverse.

Yeah, because nobody has ever made an adaptation of the Odyssey that changed elements of it.

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? Never heard of it.

It’s funny that you say that - I actually DO know someone who got into Magic because of the 40K decks.

The Lord of the Rings isn’t real. You can change the lore however you want - and Aragorn’s “race” as we understand it in a 21st century context isn’t relevant to the lore anyway.

It’s funny how you complain about the entertainment industry not being original, and then spout the same old nonsense as every other bigot who has been making the same talking points for the last century.

“But what if it were BLACK PEOPLE doing it to WHITE PEOPLE? Then would it be bad?”

They do make new, diverse characters all the time. Sometimes, they also make diverse adaptations. One does not preclude the existence of the other.

Aside from all the diversity “controversy,” this article seems kinda poorly written. It frames it like this is a new card game coming out, but it’s just another Magic: the Gathering expansion.

Let’s be totally clear, here: Magic has been making African-inspired fantasy since the 90's. Mirage and Visions were both explicitly based on African mythology, and those sets released in 1996.

Yep, it has the Deus Ex: Human Revolution problem where there are multiple ways through every level, including even non-combat stealth routes, and then boss fights you can’t possibly win if you’re not built for them. And even if you are, they can suck.

Otherwise, one of my all time favorite games.

There have been other bugfixes in Classic Wow, mostly stuff they didn’t or couldn’t fix from back in the day. As much as the “no changes” crowd might complain, it’s better to run the game as an actual game if they want new players and not just the nostalgia tourists.

There’s really no point in doing that - it’s fifteen year old content. It’s completely irrelevant to current content.
