that was my first reaction as well. dude’s net worth is being reported as at least 20 mil in some other articles i’ve seen about this whole kerfuffle. he could donate 50k to several charities without sweating.

i’m a little interested. i think it’s too early to just totally write the game off.

I played the demo and thought it wasn't that good, and didn't understand all the hype that was still behind it ever since. It was sluggish then and sounds like they didn't tune it too much from there. At least the accessory big boy joycons look cool still...

sometimes i feel like kotaku articles get a bit lost in the weeds - like, personally i just don’t share these lofty expectations placed upon videogame writing (not that there isn’t room for some exceptions). that said, heather’s reactions are certainly valid and she can form a well constructed opinion from there, but

I more or less agree with you. Trying to get through a wall of text to understand it and then killing any interest I had in the progression system is still awful.

good thing it’s on gamepass, and i got 3 months of gamepass on pc for like 5 bucks, and by the time it expires, i will have gears 5 out of my system.

this is awful

but who really cares? a lot of us (myself included) are super hype. that was a good direct.

i wish there was an easier way to see what some of my games are. if you’re like me, and accumulated hundreds of games you never really heard of through bundles, figuring out exactly what a game is requires a lot of clicking through til you get to the store page, and have to click some more.

this game comes up ALL THE TIME in ‘games to play with your non-gamer significant other’ lists, and i can’t disagree harder.

Playing remnant from the ashes made me want to check out Darksiders 3. Although the first two games didn't really grab me.

Thanks for letting us know

their works are firmly in the AA camp, and you feel it while you play. but the games have always showed a lot of potential if you can look past some glaring flaws, and personally i’ve found a few enjoyable.

I’m sort of on the devs side. Like he definitely could have had more self control and avoided a PR blow-up, and he’s basically going into the hornet’s nest because it's Reddit, but he has a point. It's more like he didn't have to even say it because a lot of us already know gamers can be mega weiners.

love my eurojank rpgs. this actually looks like a big step up for these guys, so far.

it really was a special time and place. i fell off during wotlk, and came back after years to try the newest xpack and the magic isn’t there. tons of things factor into that, between the people i played with and the way games have evolved since. but yea, racing for server firsts really helped me get through losing my

same experience in 2007 with world of warcraft. it was a great place to lose myself to. i was in college at the time as well, i still think of that time in the game pretty fondly. people don’t really know what you’re going through but are still nice and friendly, and dedicated to the same goals. we were getting all

Ya I noticed a few lines that make me laugh - sometimes it just grind the game to a halt like you mentioned. Some tighter editing could have really done it favors.

LOVE the game, been playing it a ton but man the amount of dialogue actually really slows the pace down and gets annoying.

i think it’s my favorite “7/10" game this year.
