The "send an email to Jesus Diaz.." signature line at the bottom of the post seems especially somber. Or maybe I'm just drunk. Either way, props to giz for highlighting this.

i think we can consider this fairly baseless for the time being. i think it's cool what a fever pitch the speculation is at, though. gadget hype ftw!

saxton hale is my new favorite thing. i have the comic book cover where he's getting a haircut hung up in my office.

i use a couple of programs (automatic and transmission), RSS torrent feeds and connect360 to stream automatically downloaded tv shows (i get them roughly 2 hours after they air, better than hulu) to my 360. i don't have cable, don't miss it either except for sports.

@tornbhc007: "and for most of Valve's library, what's the point without multiplayer?"

i like the cut of this dell's jibe. what config did you guys test? are you happy with the performance? I use a macbook as my daily driver, but at $450 this might make a nice alternative. i guess it's the same thing as a macbook air.. a 13" screen means the hardware isn't fitting into a pocket anytime soon. unless

@ripfire: this is totally unfounded, but i feel like there was a glut of DDR2 ram earlier this year and last.. overproduction coupled with low demand due to the economy? again, totally spitballing but i think i read that someplace.

@Andy S: that'd be my bet.

how much credit can you really try to take for saying 'oh neat yeah an internet tablet!' without making any real contribution? from my completely outsider perspective arrington has always seemed like a blowhard that thought he has way more clout than he really does. to me it's not surprising that he couldn't pull

the original iphone was the ultimate dumbphone, as you guys call it. i thought the article was great. CEOs NOT realizing that their business was about to be usurped by apple were clearly naive. i'd wager that 99% of gizmodo's audience would have guessed the iphone would be a force to be reckoned with.

@Dr. Evil Genius: i feel like these random european countries would automatically hook you up with a pension for sticking it to the copyright people. i've been reading too many pro-piratebay websites..

@Jason Chen: i don't think it's a pro-apple sentiment, more of a 'microsoft (or best buy, or walmart, take your pick) is corporate and lame' sentiment. i'm sure some random web 2.0 company could do the same thing with a glossy rounded button and it wouldn't be a big deal. regardless, senor bob makes a good point.

a "strong precedent" with a completely different company. just saying! #assassinscreedii

They should definitely just fire george o'leary and then go from there. #shoes

i've been contemplating a netbook for about a year or so. i think you guys saying that a celeron is a step up from the atom processor just sold me against it.. CULV here i come! #aceras1410

i think i double posted somehow. sorry.
