My Chevy Bolt uses about 29Kwh to drive 100 miles.
I pay .25 per Kw to charge at home. That’s $7.25 for 100 miles.
My gas car gets about 22 mpg combined, for 100 miles that’s 4.5 gallons @ $4/gal = $18 in regular gas for 100 miles.
Can you imagine paying over MSRP for a BMW with the new beaver-tooth grille. Talk about adding insult to injury.
When I called a Kia dealer for the last time ever, they told me the $2,500 markup they had listed online for the EV6 was actually $15,000. The world found out why you don’t outsource every bit of your manufacturing capacity to a single location. Thanks, Covid.
So this isn’t ok, but requiring every foreign manufacturer to partner with a chinese firm in order to build and sell in china was ok?
Well China should never have been let in the World Trade Organization so they can go ahead and leave.
Itv is much more profitable to be able to use refinery capacity -or lack of- as a trigger to cause fuel prices to rise and make more profit as we saw here when the economy reopened
