I think you're right. The GTI, especially given that Diesel prices aren't in your favour for half the year, would of been the better option. It's so much fun hearing that exhaust note really break through into the cabin between 4,500 and 6,000 rpm. I also like the GTI's wider stance and squared off steering wheel. Oh…

I DD a 2007 GTI. I can fit 4 people COMFORTABLY, tons of luggage space, it's not too bad on fuel, and when I'm by myself I feel like I'm in a sports car. Maintenance isn't bad at all either. Love my GTI.
