I had an alarm clock that would just not work properly. It would turn off alarms that I had set making me late all the time. Serious relationship stress ensued. Shot it with a 16-gauge shotgun. So satisfying.

We'll probably refer to them by their generation, like a 6th gen. iPod Classic, which has just been called "iPod Classic" for some time now.

Unlimited plans are not sticking it to the phone companies. Placing phone calls and not paying at all for text messaging is. That said, I like my texting.

I had the AT&T Tilt. WinMo wasn't bad, but the hardware was terrible. The keyboard crapped out on me and then most hardware buttons.

Oh god the AT&T Tilt. Awful phone (basically all the buttons and the spinning wheel thing died by the time I was done with it), but the software was good.

Someone else with this phone?? I thought I was the only one! God it was an awful phone. I truly loved WinMo 6, but the phone was terrible.

I remember WinMo 6.1 (on my AT&T Tilt aka HTC TyTn II). I actually liked WinMo a lot. It was capable of doing a lot of things that today's phones can't, like a decent file browser complete with copy/paste and the ability to upload files to a website via web browser (not just pictures/videos).

Snake II? That's fancy talk. I prefer Snake on Snake '97 that's been out since January (same dev as Snake 2k). [www.windowsphone.com]

I'm confused as to why Sears is even selling an anniversary version of a socket wrench. I mean, if you're buying a socket wrench, chances are it's going in your toolbox, not the fancy wooden case that comes with it. Furthermore, it's a tool: you're not going to be ogling the fact that it's a special edition when

Sweet, sweet Jesus, thank you! Someone finally made a video to correct this epidemic!

Well, if you value a random anonymous Internet user's opinion, I love mine! The build quality is great and Windows Phone is phenomenal, much better than iOS IMO. You'd be hard pressed to find a better phone, and for $100 on contract I doubt you will. I got mine for free thanks to the rebate they had though. Huzzah!

Well, you can at least take comfort in the fact that your Roku box will work if you ever decide to dump your LIVE subscription. (I personally don't see myself dumping my LIVE sub, but it is a concern if I ever wanted to.)

Oh, and don't practice on this Nixie tube clock set. I agree with sneakypoo, soldering isn't very difficult, but just in case you *do* screw up (possible your first time), I'd go for one of ThinkGeek's cheaper kits, like the flashing heart or the Pong board if they still sell it: $20-30 vs. $150 if you make a mistake!

This. A million times this. I have rubber coated surfaces. I've found that 90% of the time, a rubber coated surface is an indicator of a cheap item or sub-par quality (I'm looking at you, Chinese Skil hand tools). Tools need to work in all conditions and in most situations. It needs to work when you need it, or

Oh darn, they scrubbed a launch. NASA does this all the time, it's no big deal. It just means they want to double-check something.

"Launch cheaply" There's the problem. Launches are not cheap, even the relatively cheap Falcon line of rockets. I agree with launching often, but "good enough" needs to be "good enough" to launch, which is almost synonymous with perfection. Launches take time, and rushing them is a multi-million dollar gamble.

The fact is iOS and the hardware it goes along with isn't aging all that well. I recently dropped the iPhone for Windows Phone. The hardware and app marketplace are a little behind the curve, but the OS is sleek and modern.

Really? I just got a Lumia 900 the other day and installed the beta version yesterday! Time for the official version, hah.

Yikes, I can't stand the stainless steel version. It takes way too long to brew, it seems to brew far less than a comparably sized aluminum version (maybe that's just me), and the spout is round rather than spout-shaped so espresso goes everywhere whenever I try to pour it into a demitasse.

Hm, it's flying south, even though it should be going north. Was it just putting on a show for beachgoers/Patrick? On a related note, I wish I could've been home to see this. Too bad I'm in Orlando for during the week for classes. :(
