I fall into neither camp.

I went into engineering because I love cars, and engineering to me was a way to be part of an industry I love. Plus, I’ve always been a fan of academics, so taking something challenging was fun for me (and simultaneously miserable, if I’m honest).

To me there are two types of engineers:

My favorite would have to be my father’s story from college.

I always like a couple stories I’ve heard from my dad / parents.

That’d be pretty hard to talk your way out of.
