Surely you didn't think it was a coincidence his name is FOX Mulder, did you?!?!

Yeah, I'm just going with Carter here, who presumably doesn't mean to imply it's the final season sequence.
Oh my GOD I have a whole thing about why that guy wasn't included here but I think I'll save that for my 33 1/3 book about 90210.
Weirdly, you're not far off the mark.
Speaking as someone who went through an intense goth phase, if you don't think this is exactly the kind of show goth kids go apeshit for, you're fucking high. I say with love!
"A rational first take on this data would not immediately rush to the idea that people growing up in the 90s have some sort of genetic/physiological difference that makes it harder for them to lose weight and stay in shape as opposed to people born 10 or 20 years prior."
It would make sense if you tasted it, I swear to God.
I swear to God it makes sense when you taste that soda.
It was the only way I could prevent my stomach from rebelling against its contents.
Yay! Thanks!
This feels true for most of the group's albums. They include some understated pop-art masterpiece, and because Metric (or their label, back when they had a proper one) don't throw a ton of money behind it, the song somehow never gets its day in the sun. (Paging "Breathing Underwater" from Synthetica.)
Reese Witherspoon?
That's mainly why I called last season the "existential crisis" season. The whole thing seemed to be a giant metaphor for figuring out what the hell the series was supposed to be about, anymore—on a super-explicit level.
I mean, this first episode definitely suggests we may not be able to trust what Elliot is saying, but I also trust you guys to know that without me having to prefacing every statement with, "Of course, this may all be from an unreliable narrator, BUT…"
DrFlimFlam is right that this is an ongoing suggestion. I tried it this past week and it's tough to tell the results—I mean, I THINK I didn't panic as much? I need someone in the room to tell me I didn't, though, because some poor game play can easily look like panicking, but I for sure felt calmer.
I have not. The massive military hardware look was always a big turn-off for someone like me, who knew he'd be absolutely dreadful at it. But you're not the first to suggest it should be my next game. Maybe I'll try that!
No worries, amigo. Just going to delete anything that functions as an obvious spoiler for events that happen later in the show.
Yay?
Yeah, fair point—it's kind of a grey area, but also treated so ridiculously by the film itself that I feel comfortable dismissing it as such.
