You think he's really trying that hard? Doesn't Clinton represent a lot of what he rails against on a daily basis?

Yea, it really is weird, I think he came JUST BEFORE the Twitter/social media age REALLY took off. Sanders benefited hugely from it.
Agreed! Cue Michael Caine's speech from TDK: "In their desperation, they turned to someone they didn't fully understand…" That was the RNC w/r/t Trump. They wanted the excitement and attention Trump brought, without realizing what a monster he truly was.
I don't disagree, although the Dems share some of the blame for not building up that next generation of leaders…mostly the result from significant midterm losses. The GOP is altogether a different trainwreck.
Ron Paul was close. A little too extreme libertarian for me, but GOD was he smart and able to articulate complex ideas. Increasing awareness of the power of the Fed may have been his biggest legacy.
You're going against the Wall St backed Clinton machine. Nobody was going to beat her, just like how Ron Paul couldn't do anything last time around.
Trump is an ignorant jackass, but some elements of his platform aren't totally wrong, and oddly enough, aren't out of line with *historical* Democratic values (protectionism, isolationism, etc.). There's certainly racism and tribalism, but some counties that went solid Obama twice are now slipping from Hillary…so it's…
I agree with this. And it's not ALL racism and xenophobes, there's some good maps out there showing counties that went Obama in 08 and 12 are slipping away from Hillary. I still think she wins easily, but the disdain the Democrat Party shows for large segments of (what used to be?) it's base is pretty disappointing.
Right? It's kind of a Catch-22, you want the voice actors to be organic and not-distracting, so in that case, is it really worth burning that money on big name voices? Tricky.
That voice cast was unreal. Possible one of the best lineups of all time?
-Susan Sarandon
-Lena Headey(!!)
-John Slattery
-Brad Dourif
-Chloe Grace Moretz
-Michael Madsen (!!!)
Fuck me, that was Brad Dourif? He looked like Stephen King too much to me, but I knew the voice was familiar.
He really kills it:
"This morning I woke up and I couldn't picture Tamra's face. Little line at the corner of her lip that pulls her whole mouth down when she smiles, the flutter in her eye lashes. I tried so hard to picture her in my mind. Put her down on paper as if that might bring her back. I couldn't do it.…
I know you don't *have* to follow any particular order, but Colour works best as an "intro" into the universe. Guards Guards is actually a perfect early entry as well, but yea, Colour is harder to get into the more books you've read.
Wizard and Glass was my favorite by far. The last three become easier to read (I find later King reads a bit quicker) but they feel a bit less…focused (maybe)? I dunno.
I went all in at the library and haven't bought a book in years.
Just finished "The Regional Office is Under Attack!"…a bit of a fun spy/action romp in the style of Charlie's Angels. Moving onto "Before the Fall" next, by then the new Reacher will be out. I don't care if it's formulaic, Reacher stories are a total non-guilty pleasure of mine.
He really elevated the material in Myst 3. His rambling about the Myst lore was more compelling than most of the game.
Everyone is saying this, but I've seen it happen several times. I don't know if the refs actually understand what they're doing.
Speaking of fumble rules, I still don't fully understand how ball recovery works AFTER the whistle blows. And this weird issue occurs a few times a season and nobody points out how broken it is. Let me give an example:
Sick burn.
