It did change the on track product in a big way, though. The chase made everyone take “checkers or wreckers” to heart because that became the season layout. The Chase was the precursor to stage racing.

A lot worse is done and said on those fields. This was overkill for something very minor. Maybe suspend the coach or the involved players for a game. Putting them on the outs for something that happened off field is too much.

Uh, ok? Nice one?

Yeah there was surprisingly little communication there given the circumstance

Thank you! Just posted asking if anybody saw the recordings yet. Awesome.

They should have pulled the recording. Every pilot and ATC involved knew a safety complaint was going to get filed.

Any ATC recordings on this yet?

Great stuff. Thanks for posting the link.

He was probably below radar range at that point. ATC would have him strictly on visual approach. I really wanna hear those ATC recordings. They could answer some stuff. And ATC banter is fun stuff

And The Chase would like to speak with you at your earliest convenience

Jimmie Johnson disagrees.

A large number of us NASCAR fans hate GWC, too. We prefer the race just end at the alotted distance. This was just a needless tweak to something we already didn’t like.

That’s how it should be. Obnoxious, boastful, and respectful haha. We need friendly rivalries and jeering in this sport. As old as the game itself

FACTZ

You are my kind of person haha.

What? Haha. Like, how, son? What did I say? I literally just told a story about how my grandpa would miss action on field fiddling with his radio.

Money. If there’s a big name on the grid more people are likely to tune in or buy tickets. That also gives sponsors a bigger bang for their buck, giving teams incentive for running a Cup driver

I was gonna entertain this til the Game 7 shit. Because when you’re up in a ballgame and lose the lead, you wanna take it to 7, instead of end it right there, right? Come on. Nobody wants to be forced into an elimination game. And you’re making a ton of assumptions by saying they could have won 7. You’re just creating
