The JCPenney that’s going into bankruptcy has a nice isolated parking lot that would be perfect for this. If the retail apocalypse accelerates during covid, not a bad use for the space...

I listened to this song so much in ninth grade, and I thought it was hardcore shit. “My parents would never listen to AFI these guys are on the edge!”

You correctly called him Tom Hooper the first time, but then you call him “Hopper” throughout the rest of this atticle.

I agree with a lot of what you’re saying, just a couple responses to specific points you mentioned:

Yeah it’s kind of crazy not to add in a paragraph describing the accuracy after calibrstion, even just for shits and giggles. It could be that the blue shift he noted on the Epson is easily fixed by changing to color temp from Cool to Warm. If that’s the case, I’d hate to miss out on a great projector with awesome

What are you even disagreeing with me about? Whatever you label it, there’s only so many unicorn companies that blow up. Doesnt matter how smart you are, you can never 100% guarantee you're going to hit it big. Maybe you can calculate the risk, but it's never 100% and even outside factors can never be fully predicted.

But there’s also the 100 other guys who worked just as hard but didn’t ger lucky on the investment that happened to blow up.

FBI jurisdiction would only investigate issues domestically. Someone at the facility could have been discovered as a spy.... but it doesn’t seem like a solar research facility would yield much useful intel. My bet would be on a bomb threat or other issue relating to building safety that was construed as "domestic

“Legimate” critical opinion is an extremely subjective lense. Of course studying film in school will help expose you to some of the wider theoretical and historical basis for what films are today, but that also doesn’t de-legitimize the opinions of those who don’t have a degree. As with any art form, many creative

84mo term? I see loans with 10k neg equity daily.

“Working overnight last Friday, road crews painted about 490 feet of a newly paved, 124-mile stretch of the road with the strips.”

That last sentence is the kicker. I know we place trust in these parks that they’re following the law... but looking at the nets and the way riders are seated, it’s pretty basic arithmetic that if those nets are actually needed, your head is going to be the first thing making contact.

Frustrated? All you have to do is pay 6.99/mo to read the proofread version.

“Now it was once again a book on a shelf. Our count of enchanted objects had diminished by one.”

AMC is afraid that if/when the MoviePass model turns out to be unsustainable, people will have gotten so used to seeing tons of movies for almost nothing that they will no longer feel that an individual ticket is worth 11 dollars. It’s like Spotify (and Napster/Kazaa to a lesser extent ) did in the the music world.

That analogy makes sense if you’re talking about the theaters, since they’re already showing these films no matter hoiw many people attend. For MoviePass though, your analogy doesn’t make a lick of sense.

I promise you this is not a normal theater practice (at least in the USA.) I worked at several locations of one of the US biggest chains, and knew tons of people from other chains as well. No chain does this on a regular basis. Economically there is no incentive - popcorn is super cheap and easy to make, and people

“feels completely hollow and pointless knowing Carrie Fisher can’t even be in the next one.”

2 years I had my Note 4 without issue, no case. Month 2 with the S7 Edge I had the first drop and crack on the screen. At this point it looks like a piece of modern art with all the cracks, but realisticslly functions the same in 99% of use cases (with Gear vR the only exception.)
