Thought the same thing about my the cop didn't have his sirens on. And why didn't he pull in front of the guy while he was going slow instead of just watching him roll towards another busy intersection?

I'd buy it. Maybe try and talk the price down a little if possible. If anything, it would make a good project car. Put in a better engine for more HP and reliability. Tinker with it a bit to give you something good to drive that looks different from everything else out there.
That is gorgeous. I really wish they would start making cool looking cars again. Not just Cadillac but all car makers. We need interesting cars on our roads again.
A quick google search gave this link.
#1 is the reason why I dumped cable. They took the 2 channels that I watched all of the time and moved them from the basic package I had into an add-on package that would have cost me more money.
Thanks! Maybe someone at Porsche will see that too and send me a free one! :-)
You're not talking me down, I appreciate the comment and know that not everyone sees Porsche the way I do. I used to love Ferrari's but after reading up about a few of the super car makers, Porsche just spoke to me in a way that none of the others did in their design philosophy.
Oh god I can see that too now you mentioned it! It's very obvious in the side skirts.
God that is sexy...
I'm not a huge Jag fan, but that is nice! I hope they build it looking like that. With all the technology we have and the materials to build pretty much anything in any design and make it work, I just wish for once we would just say "Fack it. That looks cool. Lets go with that." Instead of the marketing guys throwing…
Nice one, thanks! Years ago I worked a tech support job. The trainer made the mistake of telling us about techtales.com in the first week.... Sorry to all cable customers who got shit customer service :-)
Don't you believe it. Those things are damn near bullet proof. It's like a Crown Vic made it with a hot model and this ok looking but unbelievably reliable love child was born that will out live roaches. So, er, yeah, no worries, very reliable, etc.
Wow I come here to read about car stuff and find a thread about IT lore.... with LINKS!!! God I love the interwebs!
I keep thinking about something similar. I wish they would have a series where they take every day cars you buy off the lot and put in a roll cage, slicks and fuel cell and that's it, nothing else. then have race series alternating between street circuits and track. That way it has nothing to do with which company has…
I know, I live in the UK. I lived in the USA too for awhile so still use their words quite a bit. Plus reading mostly US sites keeps them at the front of my vocabulary. I did realise after posting that they are the ones used mainly by farmers and power companies and forest service etc. Still surprised that 266 would…
Seriously 266 is enough for something that goes offroad? I don't know a thing about offroad vehicles but I would have thought that with something that big and heavy it would need more than the 266 to get it moving through rough and sticky terrain. But hey, you know more about that than me it seems so I'll believe you!…
I watched that after hearing/reading about Quentin Tarantino talking about it. I preferred the newer version I have to say. If I ever get diagnosed with something that gives me only months to live I'm going to find an exotic car dealer and steal/drive one through the window.
I'm surprised that they would even consider that engine for an SUV. 266lb-ft? Will it even be able to pull itself up a hill or out of mud? And that would be with just the weight of the SUV. Lets start adding people and equipment and then what?
Oh that was cruel... I hope that puberty is a bitch for you... :-P
Nothing wrong with the old Capri. Loved those cars and always wanted one. Were a total bitch to pull out of some junctions though because of the length of the hood. And still can't believe that you could get one with a 1.3L engine.
