I hope to god that when we finally get a cheap, clean and easily renewable energy source that we start building cars like that again. I love big old cars and I love big old cars with fins. Once we get lots of cheap energy, to hell with the miles per gallon! Give me big ass cars that cover 2 zip codes.

THIS THREAD SUCKS!!

I like the Jag but I never loved it. I don't really love the Daytona either. I do like the nice red car to the left of the Daytona in this picture though. But that's because it's similar to the one that was in Magnum PI which was my first introduction to Ferrari when I was a kid and I just loved that show, and that

Well from my year of birth, 1968, you can choose between the Jaguar E-type or the Ferrari Daytona. I would go for the Daytona.

Even though I'm from the UK I've never gotten into the whole 'British' sports car thing. We have some nice ones, like Aston Martin. And Bentley are nice cars for crossing continents in. But if I wanted something special that would give me what I wanted from a car it would either be the Miata for a small lightweight

Still say it should've been the girl with the long dark hair and the ass that won't quit...

I bought a '91 LS400 back in '07 with 254K miles on it from a Lexus dealer for $3000. My wife didn't know why I would be willing to spend that much on a car that old with that many miles. The drivers seat was a little worn and the seatbelt wouldn't retract properly. The temp display on the dash didn't work anymore and

That deserves a 'heart click' for your loss, and a moments silence from the rest of the Jalops in memory of the ultimate sacrifice. :-(

#3 - I HATE RUST! Lost so many cars because of that...

I love girls with long dark hair...

I had a Daf 55 for awhile, before I blew it up... It had the variomatc transmission, which meant it could go just as fast backwards as it can forward. I used to work night shift at a gas station and in the morning I would cut through the local streets to avoid the traffic going home. I would floor it and just steer

We had one of those. Hideous green color. I'm only 5'9" and I could not get comfortable in that car. The roof isn't high enough. I took it from OKC to Gainesville TX and boy did that car need another gear. 3,000 rpm @ 75mph not good. But I can see how they could be hooned quite easily and because they are low down you

There are lots of colors that just shouldn't be put on cars...

I toyed with the idea of getting an old Hearse a few times. Always thought it would be a cool thing to fix up and make custom. Anyway, closest I got was when I was driving cars for a dealer between auctions and other dealers. I got this old white hearse. Wood dash with chrome switches, just real nice inside for it's

Texan 1: "Holy fucking shit - gotta go - good luck lady".

I'm surprised it went fast enough, those things were seriously underpowered.

I think it's a man standing on the hill, behind the tree on the left. :-)

Congrats on COTD Turbolence! I was laughing at yours so much. That thread was a really good way to kill an afternoon and vent some frustration. :-)

The prices they were quoting me weren't anywhere near the prices you just said. It was a few years back, like 4 or 5 so the prices may have changed a lot since then. The pads were around $80 and the rotors were over $100. Oh, and the quote was for the front axel, not a full set of 4. The quote was actually over the

Awesome! Giggling my ass off over this one. Thanks :-)
