A lot of developers hire up contracts and then don’t renew them simply because they have to operate that way to survive. The only reason these guys dont have to do that is because they are filthy rich.

Hyperstone Heist is better than Turtles in Time.
There, I said it.
Also the TMNT ubisoft GBA game wasn’t bad either.
This sounds exactly like Blue is the Warmest Color. That movie sucked ass and had incredibly long and boring sex scenes.
Nah dude you should go. You’ll likely be interviewed on TV and be a super star. You’ll have a blast, especially in places like Osaka where people are more outgoing and friendly.
Trust me, I’m an arab-looking man with a beard and brown skin and a good half a foot on most Japanese people and every time I head over I’m…
I tried void bastards at GDC and it was incredibly convoluted and not fun in the slightest. I was really let down.
I really hesitate to call this a “good” movie.
It’s all over the place, with a barely coherent plot and plenty of questionable decisions with regards to art direction and acting.
BUT, it’s quite fun.
So yeah, it’s bad, but it’s not THAT bad.
Is this game a metroidvania or a classic action game? Because that level design looked. . . Ugh it looked pretty boring. Which leads me to believe it’s a metroid-style title.
“Of all the Castlevania-inspired games due out this year, like Cyber Shadow and upcoming DLC for The Messenger,”
Wait... Is Cyber Shadow a metroidvania?? Ugh. I was hoping it was just a straight action game. I hate that devs can’t seem to make good action anymore and have to shoehorn in bullshit backtracking and RPG…
This looks surprisingly good, but that name... That’s the name they thought was good? Really??
I’m pretty well acquainted with SoR, but compared to later Beat Em Ups like Sengoku 3, Battle Circuit, and Denjin Makai 2 it holds up but shows its age.
Compared to modern beat em ups like Fight N Rage, Aces Wild, and Shattered Realms (even in its unfinished state) it struggles.
If it’s gradeable on an objective scale then why did I find it lacking in fun or meaningfulness? Am I crazy? Or is quality subjective?
“Nearly perfect” holds little meaning of the game isn’t appealing. That’s all pretty subjective. I also found the level design to be pretty mundane.
Mind, I also really don’t dig Celeste or games that have serious “golden path syndrome” where one specific challenging path is the only way to really engage with them and…
This doesn’t sound as a flat is it makes itself out to be. It just sounds like people who have their niche and trust each other in their departments but don’t want to label it.
Still not 100% sold on this game, especially since SEGA isn’t involved in it, but I’m holding out hope. I feel like it’s stuck at a crossroads between “simple enough to resemble SoR” and “complex enough to be a good game in 2019" and that’s not an easy crossroads to be at.
In the indie sphere? Guacamelee, Cuphead, Crimson Shroud, Freedom Planet, Battle Chef Brigade, etc.
I’m not big into Roguelikes and I’m super picky when it comes to platformers so none of McMillen’s games have really clicked with me.
Really? Most of them seemed pretty derivative and somewhat mediocre. Binding of Isaac is like “what if Smash TV was less entertaining?”
I’ve never enjoyed, nor gotten the hype, behind any of this guy’s games.
To each their own, I guess. This is nasty.
Am I the only one SORELY disappointed that they cut out all the cool SEGA characters to make this series just about Sonic now?
Like, fuck, I love House of the Dead and Golden Axe and shit and they get no love nowadays on console.
Isn’t billing placement part of the contract and entirely has to do with what your agent/agency negotiated into your contract with the studio?
Like, did Danai have anything to say about this?
There are too many of these games. They’re TRINE too hard.
