It’s a weird stance. “more people should be having bad/weird sex” is a strange thing to (half) say. The Aziz Ansari thing wasn’t about having him arrested or blacklisted just saying “hey if you stand with women, maybe think about how you have made some of them feel.” The outcome of more men being aware of that is that

I dunno, I thought his rambling reaction was quite human.

His arrest-by-angry-mob isn’t just darkly funny, it would be a damn right heroic scene totally out of place in the story otherwise. It would seem so satisfying to viewers unfamiliar with the story that it would feel fake and out of place.

I think the McMartin Preschool Trial and the larger Satanic Panic of the 80s/90s is definitely ripe for a really in-depth exploration.

Oh, and they should do the Central Park Jogger. Race, sex, Donald Trump. Can it get better?

When I saw the header, I was ready to add the McMartin trial to this list. Glad it was included. That was a seriously fascinating event and really deserves a strong retelling for our era of surging Christian fundamentalism, conspiracy thinking, and social-media-fueled moral mobs. I hope someone makes the effort.

Richard Ramirez’s life is the most fucked up story from start to finish. He was such a showboaty piece of shit during the trial that I don’t really want to give him any more notoriety (although at least he’s not here to see it), but his arrest-by-angry-mob is a darkly funny scene I’m dying to see. He was out of state

There are all sorts of great side roles to be had there, too. The principal players had a lot of scandalous shit going on besides just funneling money to the Sandinistas—sex, drugs, the GOP version of rock ‘n roll.  Berkeley Breathed tells a great story of how Reagan called him once to thank him for running a Bloom

How about an Iran-Contra one? Ollie North is a good role and you have all kinds of crazy

I know there was a story about his early life last year, but growing up in Milwaukee when he was arrested, I’m surprised there hasn’t been something major done about Jeffrey Dahmer.

So a few points

I think I’m done with Star Wars. I’ll watch episode 9, but I’m havinga hard time being excited.or optimistic about anything new. I like the new Trilogy, even with it’s flaws.

I feel like the market might be getting a little saturated.

I don’t like Sand Snakes. They’re coarse and rough and irritating and they did nothing.

“I find it slightly odd that the Pearsons mark the anniversary of Jack’s death via Super Bowls (which always take place on a Sunday) rather than on the date it actually happened.” — My FIL passed away on a Super Bowl Sunday and while we recognize the date itself, the Super Bowl is such an iconic thing that takes up

oh, good grief.

I think I saw the first 10 minutes before going to bed, but I remember thinking “This is fucking ridiculous, let that dog die it’s not worth your life. You aren’t a superhero.” Then he goes back in and I thought “he would’ve died from smoke inhalation due to the toxic smoke.” WELL THEY SHOWED ME.

I just wish she would apologize for saying that cishet white women face a statistically similar amount sexual and physical violence as trans women. But that Rose won’t apologize and that she is allowing TERFs and Right Wingers to flood her twitter with messages of support is telling.

Why is she expected to do anything for trans women? Because its 2018 and somehow “feminism” is still stuck in the 2nd wave and picking and choosing who is a woman and whose rights are being fought for. ANY AND EVERY woman who portrays herself to be an advocate for women better goddamn be an advocate for trans women,
