I've never seen Revenge of the Nerds but this has to be the their time in one year that I've seen people voicing discomfort with that scene.

I loved it as a kid, re-watched it on tv a couple of years ago and generally still enjoyed it, but I really agree with you about Alice in Wonderland. As a kid I couldn't get past the Walrus and the Carpenter and as an adult I think is says something miserable about Victorian childhood.

I guess they mean something that doesn't have to be renewed year after year like Hyde.

Make it red and it's a Vampirella cosplay.

BTW having you been caught up with the debate over Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's Cosby routine. The message I got from it was that they believe the allegations and aren't going to ignore it because his routine was family friendly (and that they aren't ignoring that Sleeping Beauty is a rape story). The "this is horrible and not ok" aspect in telling a story or a joke with rape is one of the deciding factors about whether or not I'm okay with it at all.

Well, at leas the comic book has a female writer.

You've got me intrigued, go a head.

Pointing out that Zooey's characters in (500) Days of Summer and New Girl aren't MPDG. Because apparently that needs to be said.

Funny because Zooeys brother in law is an actor co-exec producer of Always Sunny.

I've seen a fair amount of re-visiting The Cosby Show discussions about the various hidden hostilities in its subtext. It really recasts the whole "Lisa Bonet bit the hand that fed her" type of narrative that was generally taken from it.

And Jason Momoa's

It's hard to be on the verge of death for 25 years. Sometimes you have to live a little.

It's why I side eye most internet fandom demands.

I wanted to make a joke about the lack of searches in Kansas being related to their decision to re-elect Sam Brownback but it was too depressing.

Lucas Neff played Hope's Daddy on Raising Hope

I had a hard time wrapping my head around that as Emma Thompson and Helena Bonham Carter played sisters in Howard's End.

I do wonder if some people closest to him didn't think of what he did as rape. Especially if they are ignoring chunks of the testimony.

I found a link about the Erin Cosby/Mike Tyson story bellow. It was creepier than I was prepared for. Her father completely shit on her in the press leaking stories of her addiction saying she was untrustworthy while they were estranged. (Apparently they reconciled with the death of her brother.)
