Thank you!
Thank you!
I haven't read it yet. I've heard there it's told in newspaper clips. That said there is a fair difference between what can work on the page and what can work on the screen.
After Carrie: The Musical's flop revival, I am less optimistic about about a Carrie remake. I'm not sure the story ~works with a less campy telling. No matter how talented the crew is (and I agree they are super talented) if the way they tell the story doesn't fit the story it will be bad.
Please link, to the interview.
But how much of that was from presales? I bought my tickets week in advance.
I think the original left plenty of room for improvement, and I already like the remakes imagery. I also definitely prefer Farrel to Schwarzenegger. I kind of love the ad campaign (at least the "viral" part), but it doesn't look inspired. I feel if it was really going to earn it's value apart from the 1990 film it…
For the faithful, true. But I'm focusing on this mostly as political rhetoric. I don't know what any of those elected wing nuts believe spiritually, but the way they talk feels like a co-opting.
This happened after the incident in Oslo last year. I get that people build themselves up as heros, but way to miss the point.
I know how you feel; it feels like they are co-opting a culture to have a greater presence in the Middle East and it is just hateful.
I bought tickets weeks in advance, but if I hadn't I would probably we with you. Rationally I know that the spree killer has nothing concrete to do with the movie, but I also feel like I should step away as part of showing some respect.
I agree. The plot doesn't really have a political agenda. Bane's rise to power comes courtesy of an insider trading scheme which is part of how he, like the Joker just uses rhetoric to get a reaction.
This actually came up at a dinner conversation with my Dad. I had just found out who Maimonides was and he responded by mentioning how his medical class voted to take the Oath of Maimonides instead of the Hippocratic Oath.
Eve was weak!
Does this mean that they will interrupt the plot several times for commercials in the remake too? Because that's promising.
What's the first Vehoeven flick you'd like to see redone?
Already have my tickets!
I was kind of thrilled to hear how many extras were hired. CGI extras make me sad.
MIcheal Palin is right, only those field trips should cover geology as well as geography.
Martin Sheen is still with his first wife/ mother of his children. Don't know if he as ever unfaithful, and I'm sure his substance abuse problems caused difficulty for the marriage, just don't know how much/
Wait, how many presidents? I did not know that about Billy Graham at all. Did he advise Carter too?
