Thank you for the assessment of Cody's dialogue. SHe really does get the teenager trying too hard thing, and occasionally using the way they talk to let people know if they are "in" or "out" (Jennifer used it to show Chip that she was more important to Needy than he was)
I'm really liking that Judd Apatow is lending his name and producers support to female centric comedy. He may have difficulty writing it on his own (unless it is for wife Leslie Mann) but he likes it and sees the need for it. Thank you Judd!
The trailer came on right after a sketch about to white kids pretending to be Japanese, much to the embarrassment of their professor. It was really funny, I don't know why these got highlighted and that didn't.
Okay I have pretty much nothing nice to say about Katy Perry. So I will say the nicest things I can think about her and leave it at that.
Guinevere Turner has sad that when guys she meets find out she co-authored the American Psycho screenplay they tend to tell her that they are Bateman, and she is like "so are you a serial killer and/or a dorky tool?"
Just want to shout out congratulations to Sinéad O'connor on her birthday and new marriage.
Those are pretty much my thoughts on Heigl. I get that she wants to be popular, but her mainstream film choices are not good.
Well Vivien Leigh is a supporting character in this...
I have never been able to hold a relationship (friendship) long outside of what ever situation it formed from. And that has always been painful, because I don't really understand why not. Why is it my fault that they don't want/try to stay in contact. I feel like I've gone through the motions without the emotional…
That's a good word!
Seeing Tori Amos tomorrow night. Thanks for sharing the interview, I always love them even/especially when her metaphors get so in depth they get... well.
My complaint is more about me than the people in the show. Please see my other responses.
My reaction says more about me than about the show. I don't want to be held as an example of a lot of things that I am, and I dislike a loth of the examples held up of what I am.
I'm not talking about the people on the show. It is just as the show is being representative of some who are on it, it isn't representative of some who aren't. Virginity is pretty fetishized and I feel this is just going to continue.
Yeah, this 28 year old virgin does feel like it is related to many of my social problems, but highlighting it isn't really going to help. It does feel exploitative. It's putting people in a special category, when maybe they don't want to be categorized.
It's not that she can't do that, it is just that it isn't going to get everyone's sympathy. Also the demand for sympathy can be off putting.
I'm not sure if it was the same ex. I remember hearing that about her previous album, 19. Don't know if it is the same guy.
So I'm not a big fan of any major industry awards including the Grammys. That said anyone here want to compile a list of music that came out over the past year and shocked us because of how good it was?
Agreed
