    For sure. Dr. Ruth and Fran Liebowitz are a couple of others from the early days who I had never seen before they started appearing on Late Njght.

    Yeah, as big as that song was I’m not sure how well it served them. A lot of people who would have enjoyed the album it was on (it’s a really solid collection) may have given it a pass because Turning Japanese was kind of seen as a novelty.

    To further riff on the interconnectedness (which spell-check says is not a word!) of everything, I click on on the video and recognize the guitar player — his family lived in other other unit of the duplex where I lived  when I was a tyke.
