So far I've read the new Hellboy in Hell, which was fantastic and pulled together some strings I didn't expect to come back around. Mignola is just a master, I'm going to miss Hellboy terribly.

Milligan and Fegredo's Enigma is basically Vertigo perfection and the best meta-series this side of The Invisibles.
Nah, can't agree with that. People like Loki because even from his first film, he's a fully-defined character with clear motivations. You can't really say the same about Malekith, for example.
Tremendous bounce-back from Age of Ultron. The Russos are very good, and the Captain America wing of this mega-franchise remains the best. I've seen it twice now already, and I can't wait to own it.
His books don't sell very well, for whatever reason. I thought his Aquaman was pretty solid, but people didn't gravitate to it.
I'm very glad DC secured both King and Orlando. Hopefully Josh Williamson turns into their next big guy with his Flash run, nailing him down to an exclusive was a good move.
Easily the best writer at the publisher right now. And maybe the best at the Big Two? Or at least I'll say, his Big Two work outstrips anybody else's currently coming out.
Not liking Black Hole throws me a bit, since I think that's a pretty fabulous work, but I'd probably recommend:
Working my way through Vol 3 of Scalped, which is just so great. I'm pretty sure Jason Aaron is my favorite comics writer that's come up post-2000.
Making my way through that initial volume of Akira now. I haven't quite gotten grabbed yet, but it reads so fast, I'm still getting close to half-way through anyway. I'm sure I'll get there.
Mike Allred doing inks over Darwyn Cooke pencils!
I was instantly sold on concept alone. The day to day lives of astronauts? Perfect for me!
I enjoyed the romance heavy angle, and a lot of the brighter design sense, but things did peter out after a while. I think Larson is going to be a great fit for that series.
All the little connections are amazing. Also, there's a Fatale reference in the previous special, if I recall correctly.
Easily the best news for DC related movies in quite a while.
Totally agree about Batgirl. The initial set of issues that made it into hardcover (basically everything before Convergence) was that team at its best. Once Stewart stopped doing layouts, that seemed to coincide with the drop-off in quality.
That's a shame, Sheriff of Babylon is as good as I've seen from that line, short of Preacher or The Invisibles or Sandman. Everything else is indeed pretty toss-off though.
My guess is it draws a little more attention to the launch than it would otherwise. Way running his own imprint is a fairly big deal, making it a part of Vertigo makes it just a tad easier to get lost in the shuffle maybe?
Ace of Diamond was the particular one I was looking for at the shop last night when we searched up a list of notable efforts in the genre, but I appreciate the link, that'll make my life a little easier. How significantly different is Touch from Cross Game?
That's Tracy Lawless, the star of a couple of earlier Criminal arcs as an adult.
