Has that been translated? I'm not seeing a good option on Amazon anyway.

I kinda figured. In my experience, most of my friends that are Manga readers have a very specific type they like, which isn't that. I want my baseball drama! :-)
Thanks so much, both Cross Game (baseball was exactly the sport I was thinking of) and Genshiken look especially up my alley. I'll be sure to nab up the first volumes of both when I get a chance.
I think the thing that was occasionally a bit of a craw for me was just how much his plot points felt like they were cribbed from the Morrison run but made more palatable for the broader reading audience. I'm a little torn about it. I also think Snyder occasionally couldn't get out of the way of his own themes,…
I don't know if I have one singular comic that's my prized possession, but my full run of Love and Rockets, the reboot Legion (and the Waid part of the Threeboot), and my Invisibles hardcovers would probably most qualify.
I guess that probably is my first predilection. I find I'm more into contemplative narratives than the action-based beats of something like One Punch Man or Attack on Titan (I'm presuming anyway). Slice of life is attractive, I was also (somewhat uncharacteristically) looking for a really good sports manga, which…
I only read a bit this week but…
I finally got a copy of the Criminal 10th Anniversary Special, which my store didn't order any of the week before for some reason, it was great as to be expected. Criminal remains the best thing Brubaker and Phillips have done both together and otherwise.
So before I head out for Tokyo in a couple of weeks, I decided to take a shot on some Manga, which is a thing I've read very little of beyond Nijigahara Holograph.
I think I'm finally going to jump in on Banner Saga since it's on PS4 and my brother in law keeps raving about it.
Nope. I was responding to someone's assertion that I should get a movie review gig, which is a little different. Otherwise I would have provided a link to an actual review or better yet, posted said link in my initial comment.
Didn't Ray Fawkes write that Futures End story mostly?
But then you won't get to read Tom King's sure to be stellar run in June. I got a feeling that's gonna be something special.
I guess. I enjoy cinema and talking about it. I have an actual job where I make money, but in my free time, I get to do the press thing. It's fun!
Feel free to hop over to comicsbeat.com, I've built up a bit of a library over there.
Eek, no, this is about as laugh-free as your bog-standard SNL film. Key and Peele have wonderful chemistry and a funny line reading or two, and the cat is cute, but the rest of it is just utterly conventional and tedious.
It's true, I had real issues with her on that show for a few years, but the later seasons really allowed her to do some more interesting (if limited in appearance) stuff.
That was a Tony Daniel thing, Snyder just had to work around it.
Same here, it's a pretty amazing epic and probably the best thing Image is putting out right now, give or take Prophet.
The reaction to that book was very divisive among the critical community I think.
Thanks much! That's about a ten year old set of recordings at this point :-P
I played bass and wish I could re-record every single one of those tracks. Then again, I haven't played since 2009 or so, so it might not be much better haha
