I think the location of the engine is a detriment to its power level. If he had it mounted where the cab of the truck wouldn't interfere or block the intake I think we would see better performance. Also Jet engines aren't designed to go at freeway speed, they are designed to go aircraft speed. I think it would be more

@rockhopper: Good old Detroit Vernor's is some of the best soda out there. Some would also add Faygo Rock & Rye to that category but im not crazy about it.

Assuming you are running some sort of traffic monitoring on your website it would be interesting to compare those results to the people that vote. Maybe 59% of people are visiting with IE7 secretly and voting for Firefox. It would be like comparing the actual majority opinion of the American Public against the

The thing standing between me and paying for Hulu would be the amount of available content. Currently because of the way Hulu operates (legally and cooperatively with content producers) they have a rather limited selection. If im paying i want access to every episode of Family Guy ever and any movies currently

Im currently awaiting the just as wishful legislation stating that as of 2016 you must turn in all your vehicles that dont meet the new standards and buy new to conform. If you do not own a vehicle, you must turn in your Hotwheels (which get 0 mpg) and buy a new car to conform. Obama would also like a Unicorn, and

I hear great things about Photoshop but dont have the money for it. My vote go towards [Paint.net] for a great balance of usability (for Windows users) for entry level stuff and also price.

Im currently in the Drafting program at a CC in SE Michigan. Im also going ahead and getting a Machinist degree at the same time. This looks like a good project for my CNC Surfacing class except the machine has a work envelope of 14" (Y) 8" (Z) and maybe about 30" (X). The vice in the mill is 6" so this would never

Quite honestly i can say i dont get what you guys hate so much about Saturn. As far as i have experienced owning currently a 2000 Saturn LS2, and a 2003 Vue Saturn produces a moderate capable and reliable vehicle. I've known of 1 Saturn that suffered catastrophic engine failure but that was due to a long ignored rod

@apollo89: Agreed: I absolutely love google maps and its functional similarity to google earth which i have alot of fun playing with.

A note on Frankenbuilds is to never EVER for any reason disassemble your current computer to an unfunctional level before the new computer is finished, booted, and debugged.

As a car im thinking a Nissan 350Z and heavily modifying the underhood area. However they'll probably cancel production before i can afford one. If I wanted to go American I'd say a Mustang, i know its not the greatest sports car but its got the recognition.

You made me want to buy one of those little things now that i know how maneuverable they are, and that they fit through almost anything (except an elevator shaft apparently).

Seems to me the focus this year is on attendee interaction at the auto show. Ive always loved going because i can get inside cars ill never own but this year they seem to have more ways for an individual in attendance to get involved.

DVD-R/W Drive Required WTF? Do you have to burn a backup DVD during install... thats the most ridiculous thing ive seen. Maybe they meant a DVD-ROM?

My guess lies with a converted Saturn Vue. I remember last year in the basement there was a company with a hybrid one.

so can i reserve an appointment for a test drive? im sure the lines will be very long for something like this and im wondering how they intend to handle that.

Auto-shop in high-school. I joined a mechanics (Automtive Technician) program that was a half day for the last 2 years of high school. I joined it because i live near Detroit and wanted to be an engineer so i thought that learning about cars might be useful.

@fodder650: I would also agree its probably a single gear. Most electric "conversion" plans call for pinning a manual transmission into a single gear. An electric motor has a much greater range of RPM where it can generate power as compared to a gasoline engine.

Wow i spent like a month trying to learn how to make a GUI using like 3 different kinds of code and completely failed at it (Im not a programmer) to make an installer interface for a CD i would be handing out with a presentation on Blender. Finally someone has done it for me!

You guys must be exceptionally bored today, we get this story along with Miley and the Detroit Lions coach getting fired... just let me know when tomorrow gets here.
