EVs are progressing so quickly in terms of range, that it makes no sense to me to be an early adopter. This car is pretty much useless. Sure it’s a fine commuter, but a good used Corolla for $10,000 gets you a real car plus $3000 for “dino juice”.

That’s a stupid attitude. I also chose to be childless and I still give a shit about the long-term health of the planet. We still haven’t proven that life exists anywhere else in the universe so we should try to preserve this little speck.

Didn’t breed....don’t care about your stupid kids!!!!

Okay Grandpa Elon, let’s get you to bed.

How is this janky? This fix is less likely to break than the original design.

Dude, that was just cruel!!

I stand in frank admiration. I’m always impressed by the way people will fool themselves.

“This is not a desirable car”

I dont want to be that guy but Miata is a damn fine vehicle in its base model trim. The whole modus operandi of the vehicle is simple and light. Therefore the best version is going to be the simplest and lightest.

1LT C8 Corvette Stingray -- the extra stuff in the higher trims is cool but man (if you can) bag one of these for $60k... anything beyond the LT2 behind you is superfluous.

This is such a ridiculous practice in the first place. If you want your employees to buy your cars, just make better cars.

Disgusting country that fails its citizens and everyone abroad every single day.

If you don’t get the yoke, the yoke’s on you.

their struggle has not received much attention in the press.

and this is a thing that “Everybody knows”?

Ken, I think you’re being too generous here. This vehicle would have been “just acceptable” 5 years ago.

A 2+2 crossover with suicide doors and 175mi range is going to go over like a lead balloon. What the hell are Mazda thinking? This is like something from the Crap Era, when EVs were weird and impractical. Mazda knows how to make a decent car that Americans will buy, so why did they make this instead?

I’m going to cast side-eyes at the messenger, CNBC, in the same way that I do MSNBC and ABC.

Two weeks ago Tom McParland was featuring a shopping query for a guy looking to move out of his Chevy SS. Go find that guy and buy his car instead. Bigger, faster, and not suffering from Predator Face, the SS is a nice place to find yourself.
