Thats an old idea. Renault is making that sort of key since the early 2000's to this day. And its a PITA, really. One of my friends had a 2nd gen Laguna V6 and dropped the key to the ground. It stopped working. A new key from Renault is really expensive, and hard to find outside the dealer network (at least in Chile)

I think that 6 figure price is to just stop people asking about buying it. They really want this to be a subscription car.
