That officer was Ack Ack Haldane, one of the best characters of the series. And a damn fine officer judging from his men's recollections. One of the most powerful scenes was seeing his body being brought down. You could see the effect it had on his men. Definition of a great leader.

I loved that show. Well, the first four seasons of it.

Thin Red Line was pretty good but needed a better editor. Should have cut 20-30 minutes from it to make it as good as Saving Private Ryan.

They do show Haney suffering from PTSD…in the next episode. A good point is made about how the fighting was so bad at Peleliu that even a guy like Haney could crack.

Highly recommend watching his long interview he did with the Archive of American Television. There are a TON of great interviews there (incl. Kudrow).

I'm disappointed that this is the way it is wrapping up. I would have
liked to see two final seasons of 8 episodes each. One taking place in
1927/8, the other in 1931.

That was a great, hilarious moment in an episode that didn't have much of that.

Whenever I'm feeling sad, I just watch Russia Today for 30 seconds. Those bats—t crazies make me laugh every time.

When people are talking more about the stupid gimmick, than the actual content, you've screwed up. Kill the crappy bit.

A Vietnam doc! Brought to you by a member of the f—-ed up family that played a large part in getting us into that mess!

So can we stop pretending Wil Wheaton is talented and not just some ass who has a large Twitter following and is the self-appointed defender of all things "nerd."

You're right. I shouldn't feed trolls like yourself. Adios.

Loved it when Hoover called out Narcisse on what a scumbag he was. "You can pretend to be whatever you want to be."

Look back at the thread. I'm sure you'll figure it out, sparky.

You don't like the last few episodes of the Sopranos. I don't give a flying f—k about your opinion. It's not rocket science, chief.

A great film. This started my interest in HK Cinema.

Better than anything you wrote.

Meh, your opinion.

He definitely stepped it up for the final episodes. Sons matter. Especially to guys like Tony. And I never said that AJ was all there was to those episodes. If that's what you took from the final group of episodes, I think you need to watch the series again!

The worst part about the dead or alive conversation is that everyone gets so caught up in it that it overwhelms any discussion of the S6 P2 episodes and how great they were in their own right. The last several episodes were about a hell of alot more than just the last 5 minutes of the show.
