I honestly think Fig is an absolute saint compared to Linda.
I honestly think Fig is an absolute saint compared to Linda.
I think the part wound up being written for Petty. The character had that tiny cameo in season 2, so I imagine they just liked what they did and came up with that for her.
The whole thing was absolutely supposed to be absurdly comic. An 80 year old woman stabbing someone, then all the jokes about her not wearing her glasses. The fact that she stabbed the wrong person.
I think if an 80 year old woman shanking a complete stranger can be played for (repeated) laughs, just about anything will be played for laughs in this show.
I've got a great idea. We'll start a small, dedicated group of people determined to hunt down anyone who would dare post spoilers in the comments section.
"And while the episode stretches a bit too far drawing a contrast between Luschek’s approach to most inmates and his feelings of guilt with Nicky as he sits and plays FIFA while Angie bleeds intensely in front of him"
Is he the third…? I guess so. Pornstache, Coates and now this guy.
I don't really remember. I know Gina and Boo were in on it. Maybe DeMarco?
I… think all the white girls still are?
"Normal one" is the guy who brought up Princess Diaries with the stubble, "Attractive one" is um… the only one I didn't name. There's really nothing distinctive about him.
The new guards are (because I'm a Prison Guard nerd for this show):
Considering how politically correct she tries to be, I don't think she was doing it consciously.
Only Piper is naive and self-centered enough to accidentally start a Neo-Nazi gang.
I don't even think that's, that true of this film anyway. Some plot points were inelegant, but the story is pretty self-explanatory. Orcs need a new homeland, there's an evil orc corrupting them. Humans need to defend themselves, but the powerful mage who's supposed to protect them is possessed by a demon.
Yeah, she's cruel and horrid, but like I feel pity for her. That she is so bereft of love and respect that she needs to manipulate her daughter into loving her.
Yeh, wasn't trying to judge.
Well that's all part of the 'so despicable you can't really do anything but pity them' aspect for me. She will always be miserable, and it's no one's fault but her own.
I don't think it was that serious a comment. He certainly takes the women in the prison seriously, and obviously treats them as potentially dangerous. Especially since 'ladies' or 'girls' (I forget which he used) has a more specific connotation to it than 'women' would.
I've seen the whole season, but avoid discussing future scenes if you can. There's plenty to discuss with this episode.
I feel like they give him a pet every year to sort of generate some humanity for the guy, or some potential humanity and it never works out for him.
