Exactly and Europe has copied from Asia and beyond likewise. Frankly a lot of modern minimalist styling that’s so trendy in the west were highly influenced by Japanese and other Asian design sensibilities.

That’s disappointing. They ruined the Lamando’s handsome 4-door coupe look. The first-gen looked like an attainable baby Arteon or CLS. This just looks like generic meh.

You could but, let's be honest, this is really just strongman discipline theater for Duterte and his followers. 

Then set the minimum bid to cover both the market value of the smuggled goods along with the taxes owed, that way the end-buyer would not only end up being fully taxed but would take a large financial hit (having had to pay twice) they’ll rethink utilizing smuggler services next time.

Actually import taxes for cars is 100% in the Philippines - all to protect a non-existent car industry. It’s a ridiculous law that needed to be struck down decades ago.

Not to be contrarian but I prefer the old styling better. It may have looked “childish” and “juvenile” to some but it was also more sporty, dynamic and, most importantly, FUN. This looks like something a CPA dreams about: grey, drab hell.
