I feel ya. I often put off playing a game if I know for a fact there will be a large chunk of time I need to take off in the middle of playing it (such as being out of town for a holiday). I’ll play other stuff up until then and then dive into the big meaty game that likely requires my utmost attention. If I forget

That’s what I’ve heard! That’s what has me itching to play. I’m still concerned they won’t support it quite the same way PUBG and FBR get supported, though.

Which is fine speculation, but they have done nothing to actually address that fact or state it’s going to ever happen, let alone after this release.

I’m not a HP fan in any remote sense of the word, but I watched the video pre-yank and I would play that game.

But CAN you go back to this COD? It’ll be supported heavily for a year, then basically abandoned. That’s my issue. At least Fortnite and PUBG (seemingly) won’t be abandoned by their devs, whereas any single COD always has a shorter shelf life support-wise. Sure, players are still in there but the devs more or less

The way Sledgehammer mishandled this game’s post-launch content gives me major pause in regards to Blops 4. I was someone who always enjoyed the COD campaigns I played, especially the Blops ones, so I was already turned off by 4's removal of it as one of the core pillars of the release.

Spoiler alert: some people play Mario Party by themselves.

No. No.

I saw this before the post you’re replying to and I thought it was about A Quiet Place.

Dude. I’m not saying Nintendo doesn’t try new things. I never once even insinuated that. Reread every one of my posts and tell me where I said that. I’m literally only saying I wish they made a Diablo-like game, top to bottom, and that they put it on the Switch. That’s ALL I’m saying.

The thing I don’t get about Mario Party, specifically, is that the game is chock full of dozens of games, right? And this is the first Switch edition of the series, so yeah, they’re going to toss in minigames that, like 1-2 Switch, are more hardware tech demo than actual game. That’s fine! I expect it!

But even Lair got its motion controls removed eventually.

As an experience designer, I, too, think Tesla dashboard’s should be illegal, but design crimes don’t get prosecuted nowadays.

Yes. It’s almost as if I’m advocating for a company to try new things. Without which, we wouldn’t have... literally the majority of the games we have nowadays.

Literally none of those are made by Nintendo. I am saying I wish Nintendo made an ARPG for Switch.

Is that on Switch?

I’m well aware of Diablo coming to Switch. I’m literally saying I wish Nintendo tried their hand at that specific genre (beyond their ARPG-meets-town sim by way of Ever Oasis). I feel like they could do something really cool with it.

How is Xenoblade anything close to this, mechanics-wise? I mean an ARPG a la Diablo, which this game more closely resembles.

I really wish Nintendo released an ARPG game for the Switch. I’d love this style of game, sans gacha-mechanics, on that system.
