Sure, but then just let the player customize the look of a character. Going too far into simulation territory takes away from the experience for a lot of people.

So they’ve had ~5 years to figure out how to do this right and they... haven’t? Seems right.

Eating again? Seriously, Rockstar? Who the fuck asked for that? There’s a reason that system was abandoned in GTAIV, RDR, and GTAV and it’s because it’s fucking annoying.

I meant Shadow of War. The more recent LOTR game. Always get those two titles mixed up. Lol.

True, but that’s not even a thing for me and my friends. We’re all too old to give a crap about being in on the conversation. We all have other stuff to do. No one is in a rush to play the latest and greatest.

I thought this was going to be an article about how paying $60 on day one is way worse than waiting a month or two and just paying $40 for a patched, possibly expanded version of the game. Forget a few days, if you wait 3+ months, you often can get far more content and a far more stable title.

Yes, because giving players a third option on how to play would be the end of the world.

It’d be interesting to see if shark card purchases were affected negatively, as being allowed to grind longer to obtain the same reward would actually mean the player is engaged in the game more. I wonder what increased exposure to the shark card incentives would actually do. If you’re exposed to an ad more, you end

So simply lower rewards if those missions are done in private lobbies, incentivizing players to still do them in public games or buy the cards.

At this point? Yeah. They can literally afford to do something pro-player. They make half a billion a quarter or something insane like that. On a 5+ year old game. All they’re doing now is milking the cow for all it’s worth. I have a feeling it would not hurt them too badly to do something like provide alternative

Some people don’t give a fuck about showing off to others in online games. They just want to play around with cool stuff ‘cause it’s available and can afford them more options to have fun.

So make rewards larger if they are performed in public matches. Shark Cards are supposed to be an incentive, right? All this would do is add a choice.

Not really. Let Online missions be completed in private lobbies, effectively turning Online into a big fancy co-op version of GTA.

In the aftermath of the ‘16 election my response to everyone I spoke to was that our biggest problem as a society is that we lack empathy.

Are you that surprised that a game ostensibly about a lifestyle where spending money and showing your wealth is directly tied to how you’re perceived by your opponents/peers is asking exactly that of its player base?

Hmm. Interesting. Thanks for that info!

I use the ones in Android Messages from time to time. Sometimes I literally was only going to send back an “ok” or a “sounds good!” Why bother typing them out if I don’t need to?

They deserve immeasurable amounts of shit for this. This is unacceptable in 2018.
