Yeah no. I’m a programmer and I love my job. And on more than one occasion I’ve pulled 60-70 hour weeks and a fair number of 50-60 hour weeks. But I’m sorry you’re just wrong.

One thing to remember is most of the people that aren’t like, QA, tend to have salary. So, they’re being paid for 40 hour while working 80. It puts a strain on relationships and health. There’s quite some shitty things to crunch which is why it’s often discussed.
