If the olympics only had one gold to give and it transfers from one person to the next each olympics your example would hold weight

To “I Miss Splinter”, mate, I can see you quoting me but I can’t see what you’ve written. It’s not even showing up under “Pending”.

After all, this is the same platform that relatively rapidly suspended women from the network, including Amouranth and Indiefoxx, for...licking microphones.

I love watching videos as well-researched as that one, it’s really gratifying to have someone sink their teeth into a topic like that.

From a security perspective I’m a little surprised they’re allowing scripts to run. It’s borderline impossible to sandbox a modern browser completely, and no matter which Sony have ported (presumably Webkit), new exploits are discovered and published all the time.

Nothing much beyond community spirit.

My guess is the ad company staff got given a completely forgettable match-two game and put together a different pitch to make their lives more interesting.

Combining a decent wordfilter/flagging system with a much bigger, far more proactive monitoring staff is hardly an impossible task. Obviously dickheads will be dickheads, but Twitch not doing the bare minimum here is still a fucking terrible look for a site full of children.

You tried playing those Steam ports recently? Janky as hell. What they should do is give us a bit of a discount if our Steam accounts have the old games, but if I’m being honest I’ll pick up the re-release either way.

I don’t know about GameStop but Gamestation here in the UK did the same thing circa 2005. Dickheads.

we can’t keep letting people off the hook for being assholes just cuz they’re young

You got there at the tail end of the peak, I think. I know a few folks who were there in the 90s, it sounded great. By the time I visited in ‘11 or so the videogame stuff had shrunk by loads.

I love how this is basically the system that Microsoft proposed for the Xbox One and everyone grabbed their fuckin’ pitchforks.

Got to love that. I have a friend online who painfully remembers walking past a wall of Virtual Boys, all getting knocked out at $20 a unit or so, boxed and new. Didn’t buy any.

Does it still work? I hear they’re pretty unreliable.

The cap situation is getting pretty bad all around for the retro cartridge systems, Megadrive and earlier. I do wonder how soon we’ll get to the point where most need recapping (or equivalent work) before they’ll work properly/at all.

I was wondering if the $30k price is realistic, do you know? You can find completely unrealistic prices on ebay for collectibles at any time of day, I don’t really pay attention unless the listing is sold.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the suggestion is that he is now noisily progressive on his Twitter, and that riled up the “SJWs are ruining everything” mouth-breathers.

I’m guessing they’re upset about the shift to monetising Skyrim mods on Steam, which caused a lot of drama a few years back.

Sega’s approach to ROM hacking is pretty much the best in the industry. Not only is it allowed, they literally have Steam Workshop on the older titles to encourage it. That’s how you respect your customers.
