I grew up idolizing ingenious performance cheats in racing and hearing people talking shit about smog controls. VW’s disregard for the law and the environment are unacceptable, but at the same time what they pulled off is the most car-guy corporate crime ever.

The numbers I want are the reduced performance or efficiency with total compliance. If we’re talking ~5bhp and ~1mpg, I’m just going to facepalm for the rest of the year.
