You, sir, have never heard of King Caesar.

I, too, have great affection for it.

Counterpoint: Bryan Cranston was so boring he ruined everything that could have been exciting about it.

Thanks for the correction.

Hey, you do you.

I think, musicianship-wise, everybody is 311 is pretty solid except the rapper guy. He was the worst white-guy rapper of the 90's and that is saying A LOT.

There was a big uproar, years ago, where James Gunn listed female superheroes and talked about how much he wanted to fuck them (including teens like Supergirl) and there was a big uproar before Guardians came out. He survived that so I’m kinda surprised that this did him in.

As far as 90's dudebro bands go, I greatly prefer 311. Infusing metal with their very limited knowledge of Reggae and Hip Hop wasn’t great but it was pretty harmless.

RLM rightly said it’s the best of the new films and word-of-mouth will turn it into a cult classic.

Gareth Edward’s Godzilla is a film that I really like despite myself. I agree with many of the criticisms (bland main character, bland bad monsters, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, and Ken Watanabe are either underused or misused) but I found that Edward’s immediate, naturalistic style really made the monster and

I have actually read that short story and, you’re right, it’s much better. That said, the conceit (being stuck in the water surrounded by a predator) works really well on a cinematic level which is more than can be said of many of the Creepshow shorts (and ended up working really well in that Blake Lively film, The

I think there was some effective Tales from the Crypt and some decent Tales from the Darkside, as well (even ‘The Raft’ from Creepshow 2 was almost solid until that weird sexual assault moment) but I think their batting average is very, very low. It seems to end up with 95% shit and I’m too old (and there is too much

I wish them luck but I’ve never found any of the modern attempts to recreate EC Comics on the screen (Creepshow, Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside, whatnot) and Creepshow might have been the worst of the lot (I didn’t think the stories were that good)

As underwhelmed as I was by Mute and Warcraft, I think this is great news.

I think part of it is that the show has been on long enough for people to see its cultural impact and I think there are some people who have real problems with that impact.

In the years since its birth, we have seen the rise of “South Park Conservatives” and how many of those people evolved into the Gamergate, MAGA and

Moviepass is still a much better deal.

Sinemia (ugh, what a name) might be worth a shake after Moviepass’ eventual demise but, until then, I’m riding this crazy train until it jumps off the rails!

You saw it on opening day? Were you alone? I think five people (including you) paid to see it in the theater.

Until that issue is solved, stars like Scarlett Johansson - who have no trouble finding work - shouldn’t be scooping up these jobs.

I’m not seeing necessarily what Scarlett Johansson did that was so terribly wrong. I get that whole aspect of Trans people wanting to tell their own stories and representing themselves, but why all the hate went for an actress who just agreed to do a job that, up until just now, many other CIS actors have performed to

If I wasn’t working, I would pick up Shudder just to watch this.

For years, I read Brigg’s syndicated column in the newspaper. He was the only person, back in the day before the Internet, who was championing Drive-In and Grindhouse films (and horror films, in general)
