Funny... I read that article a couple days ago and have been working on re-doing my bio for my Tech website, www.techcoachalbert.com and twitter/linkedin. But not to some crazy extent. But more about my background.. Havent posted it up yet. lol Cool to see it re-blogged up here on LH!

Windows (Work PC):

I've had great success with InputDirector. For anyone else looking for a possible alternative.

I do a lot of screenshots, but most the time I have to edit them first. I settled on ZScreen. Which allows you to not only have different options for screenshots (ie full screen, current window, draw rectangle) you can also default it to open in an editor (like mspaint) for quick and easy modification before it saves

IFTTT along with a Free Flickr account. Syncs all pics and its free and a HUGE amount of storage space.

This is great. Thanks for posting!

If only Hangouts supported

1. Unique notifications per contact.
2. Pop up reply box.

Bummer... Trillian (desktop) still uses it. but who knows. Mobile is likely much diff.

I'm looking for something like Hangouts, that combines SMS AND Hangout's chat. Is there anything out there other than Hangouts?

Correct. I can confirm because I just did this. :)

I've got a Roku 2... any benefit to adding this as well? Or would it just be a waste of $15?

My fancy stud finder was reporting all kinds of weird results a few weeks ago when trying to mount a TV in our bedroom (which was an Add-on in the late 60's/early 70's). Who know's how well it was done. Anyway, after a bunch of hits, and trying to line up said stud (even used the outlet as reference) I drilled a small

Anyone found how to stop extensions from runnnig on tabs that are not in focus? For example, I have various extensions installed (grammarly, ABP, Honey, ChromeIEPass). If I have multiple tabs open, I get multiple Chrome Processes open for what appears to be each extension for each tab. That REALLY adds up... As of

We've got Topcashback, not sure about quidco. I've used TCB in the past, it took a little while but it paid. Saved me over $100 on an item. :)

You've had the suction cup fail on the One Touch XL? I've had mine on my windshield for well over a year now. and use it with a S4 in an Otterbox. I've never had it fall off. I've had to remove it a couple times (transfer to another car), but yet to ever have it fall off. The suction cup on the XL has some sort of

I tried it out in Beta, but If I recall I could not customize "when" it thought the different times of the day work. For example, I leave for work at 5am, but it didnt recognize that til like 7am. It was like it used a "general time frame" for what people are doing during what hour. And for someone who is an early

This is great and all, but there are a few options centering around sending SMS via your PC. What would be REALLY nice to find is the ability to send SMS when you have little to no cell signal. See, at my office we have little to no cell signal. So SMS is pointless until we go outside. I've started using Google

Probably not so much. I've used sharebuilder. They have very low auto stock purchases, discounts/bonus for signing up if a Costco member. I've been happy. No fees other than when you purchase a fund/stock (at least not that I've encountered, but I've also only put money in it, never taken it back out).

You get $5500 to deposit per tax year if you fall under the standard income rules. You can contribute for the previous year up til April 15th.
