I fully agree with this. The fact that there's a push and this expectation to constantly take new and better pictures of yourself—or to be in pictures has most definitely affected my own self-image.

I'm a fucking Indian woman also, but it doesn't mean I don't think about ways to challenge people's notions of diversity. While I agree that a double-standard exists and no one person should be responsible for breaking all the barriers, I don't think it hurts to challenge onesself to keep pushing boundaries.

Callie, this is a well-written, thoughtful piece, engaging a relevant body of critical discourse and reading carefully chosen examples of current advertising. I mean, you know that, obviously, what I'm trying to say is, respeck!

While I applaud the concept, having a phd doesn't mean you are smart. It means you are persistent. It means you work your ass off for no other reason than that you made a prior commitment to do so.

Not much to tell and unfortunately all second hand as I wasn't there. Austin is a fairly liberal city but an underage kid can still cause a lot of trouble for the smaller bars. Especially a famous one so when he came in they got carded and although most of his entourage was legal they tried to claim that it was "legal

Oh, Selena. Oh honey, no.

It's not that I'm lazy. I prefer the term "physically complacent."

I agree and kind of resent that people have to be given the benefit of the doubt over their health. Skinny, fat, whatever, someone else's health doesn't need to factor into what their worth is considered as a human being.

The boyfriend owns her but she can't own herself, she isn't important.

Terry isn't going to be booted by the fashion community until there's enough internet outcry. The more testimony, the more disgusted I become, the more I relish his downfall like a maniac. Callie B! You've become a favorite at Jezebel~ You willing to take him and the publications that hire him on more than Jenna was

Honest, depressing answer? Because nobody cares about these girls.

Why is anyone still working with him?

Something is going to break. I don't know where. I don't know how. I want a social revolution. Women rioting in the streets.

Rape culture is bad enough. Being assaulted by those who are sworn to protect and serve? I demand blood.

"This is an anomaly. This is not what our police officers do"

This is a patently false statement.

Surely, no true Scotsman would do such a thing.

I wish I could understand what Selena sees in Justin but all I see is entitled crustache.

Actually, House of Cards was included in the full data set (it was #29), and moreover, it was not solely available on Netflix. You can actually buy season one on Amazon and Google Play. Which is something that most people probably wouldn't have suspected, given that Netflix created it. And revelations like that are

I think that's exactly the right conclusion and this data helps support that claim. The trouble is that Hulu does kind of pitch itself as being a Netflix competitor, but since we can actually look at the data here, we can see that's definitely not the case and just take Hulu for what it is: an okay way to watch new
