Fair enough and to each their own--I love it. It’s not particularly subtle, but I like both the contrast it has with more subtle allusions in the show and how it complements the comic tone.

I like the way it both calls back to the time period that fundamentally changed this society, and harkens back to a near future where tech could over power those who’ve spent so much time fearing it.

Complaining about what basically amounts to commercials when you’re getting free content is real stupid and entitled though, especially when nobody is forcing you to watch it. Like, next-level dumb and whiny.

If it’s aiming for the realism of war, the part where you abandon the rebels to be ethnically cleansed should be interesting.

That kid will need so much therapy, but not because of gender issues.

These assholes, her dad included, would much rather she present as male up until a suicide at age 14, than let her live a healthy, happy life as female until a ripe old age. How can you talk to people like that? What could you say to make them change their mind?

That’s a misconception, what we can actually do is merely teleport water or ice.
