The most unrealistic part of Sudden Death isn't Van Damme disguised as a goalie, but defenceman Rob Blake taking a face-off.

Harrowing footage of the carnage last night. Our toughts and prayers etc.

Hey, I didn't know Aidan Gillen was in this! Too bad that it seems to take place in green screen city.

I always thought she dubbed it herself, considering how extremely monotone her voice is throughout the film. Someone else doing it is of course a whole other kettle of fish.

Bach's acting though… Yikes.

John Wick wins, right?

I had a wonderful time with RE4 back in the PS2 era, but it would have been even better if it had been part of another franchise. I mean, imagine that game with actual story immersion rather than the usual Resident Evil goofiness?

More genre work for Jason Isaacs is always a good thing, he's been a personal favorite of mine since Brotherhood.

Outside of Hot Fuzz, I'm not sure I agree. Their stuff tend to fall apart in the third act, when all of their presumably blurted out ideas and concepts need to be tied together into something cohesive. Again, outside of Hot Fuzz.

How is that a sexual orientation though? Seems more like a personality trait to me. Still, I guess I don't have any proper reason to protest someone putting a "-sexual" after something like that, it just seems strange to me.

That relationship seems toxic enough to me that something has got to give, there's no way they'll be able to do this thing for 7 years without someone going insane. Starting to take student loans seem like the easiest solution, but perhaps that's not an option here?

Wouldn't that just be Aliens with dinosaurs though?

Maybe it's a diversity thing, trying to get some non-white, non-Asian people on the list? I'm not disagreeing with that notion, but I'm highly unsure whether it's worth promoting Bad Boys for. And if Breihan wants to talk about Michael Bay, The Rock is just around the corner (albeit in pretty tough competition).

…But Bad Boys is terrible! Was '95 really that weak a year for action movies?

Another awesome thing about that scenario would be that it mirrors the two companies macro-approaches to storytelling. Marvel was always better at interconnectivity and "runs", while DC rules the iconic one-off stories and new takes on characters and concepts. But nope, WB decided to go for lifeless imitation of

There are a few shots of Gotham in Begins that look highly Blade Runner-esque, but other than that I very much agree.

I read somewhere that Nolan hosted a screening of Heat for the main cast and crew of The Dark Knight before production began and said "This is the kind of movie I want to make", and had done the same thing with Blade Runner before production started on Batman Begins. So that's something. Tangentially related, the cold

Listened to Depeche Modes new single and was sadly underwhelmed. The lyrics, although a bit trite, certainly feels relevant for the highly shitty times we live in, and I do like the soundscape, but all in all it's hard to get away from it being a weak song that tries to save it self (but fails) through cluttery
