For reasons mentioned below I don't think you'll be able to convince me of that. I'm glad you (and presumably the majority of those 1.7 million views) enjoy it though!

Everything even remotely associated with Rick and Morty of course gets a pass.

I watched the first two episodes of season one and trailed off after that, way too slow and formulaic (which, at least considering the latter, admittedly isn't very different from Michael Connely's books if I remember them correctly) for me. Does it get better after that, or is it more of the same?

They tend not to be, yeah. Saxophones, at least when played as chirpily as they usually are in classic rock (or, God forbid, "sensually" like in Careless Whisper), tend to drag the songs down into unbearable cheesiness for me.

Is the saxophone generally considered to be part of the horn section? If so, I can't say I disagree with him.

It might very well have been a diner. I'm generally not into essentialism when it comes to pop culture properties, but seeing her carry out trash bags in a dark alley somehow felt really off to me.

It's awesome, especially if you're already familiar with Azzzarello and accepting of his idiosyncrasies. One of the best things anyone has done within the Superman sandbox in I don't know how long.

Quick take: the first two thirds of the movie is basically a philosophical thriller with superheroes, which somehow works pretty well. Then, the third act sadly breaks down into weightless CGI-punching, which also acts as a blocker for a lot of the interesting ideas toyed with earlier. All in all, on a first viewing

I do agree that the third act goes into "weightless and tiring CGI slugfest"-mode, and that the setup for future films are about as stupidly tacked on as one might expect. However, before that, Batman v Superman is basically a philosophical thriller with superheroes, which somehow works really well. There's an

Perhaps you're referring to Frank Darabont's draft?

It wouldn't surprise me if they kill off Mystique in this one. It's a big enough character to lend some gravitas and stakes to the story, and Jennifer Lawrence is probably itching to get the hell out of Dodge now that her deal with Fox is presumably (three movies sounds reasonable) coming to an end.

Somehow, I don't hate this idea. Crystal Skull was so bad that they don't have to fear retroactively tainting the earlier movies any more, and if George Lucas somehow stays away from the story pitches and Spielberg/the remaining team manages to write and direct around Harrison Ford being 89 years old, I might just

The system is fucking rigged, man. I have a Master's Degree in poisoning from university, but every job I apply for demand at least 5 years of previous experience as an assassin or mad chemist. How am I supposed to get that experience if I can't get a job in the first place?!

Jeez Mr. Luthor, it's kryptonite! It's ALWAYS been kryptonite! Sometimes I wonder if you really want rid of that big blue boyscout at all.

I like some aspects of …Daylights, but it's weighed down by an absolutely inscrutable plot and by looking kind of shitty in that way eighties action movies tend to do. It's not necessarily about what's on screen, just the way it's framed and composed, like if the guys who made MacGyver was given a huge budget to do a

Go to a decent Hi-Fi place, give them a budget, and then listen and pick for yourself. In my experience it's quite possible to prefer cheaper speakers over more expensive ones based on personal taste.

For one thing, William Sadler absolutely trashes McClane in the final fight, and only loses in the end because of some quick thinking badassery from our protagonist. The villains in the later sequels (certainly from 4 and onwards) never seemed threatening or even near as capable as McClane, and made the movies more
