I’ve been a yearly subscriber to Crunchyroll for years, since it averaged out to less than $7 a month, but after trying out the 30 day trial to VRV premium which has HiDive, Boomerang, RoosterTeeth, Crunchyroll, and a few other channels for $9 a month, I’m making the switch to VRV.

Actually the OVAs are deemed cannon to the story as the author wrote the episodes himself and in stated that even though it's not "part" of the main storyline, they do coincide with the current time line and are deemed cannon
