"REHABILITATED LOVE: THORNBIRDS EDITION!"
They waited a whole fourteen minutes into the season before setting a scene in a brothel! Gotta be some kind of record.
Perhaps this is just me - I couldn't help wondering if someone in the writers' room had read Ann Leckie's "Ancillary Justice" just before breaking this episode. (Which is not a knock on the episode at all. Loved it!)
Recently I typed "bonzos" and was offered "nonexistence" as a correction. Remarkable.
"Brains are for closers" made me giggle and think of trying to write an undead version of Glengarry Glen Ross. I got as far as, "A-B-Z. A: always. B: be. Z: zombing. Always be zombing!" Then I decided that project is better left to the professionals.

She's always on her phone! Can it be that Guy is, in fact, a robot that she controls through a simple mobile interface?!?!
Oh, it certainly was! I mean, I had no knowledge that would point me toward potential developments or give me expectations about how the story would unfold. I'm a perpetual re-reader and re-watcher so I appreciate a good story even when I know how it ends, and don't get too bothered about spoilers - but it has been…
I haven't read the comics, so I spent a non-trivial portion of this episode yelling "what the fuck?!?!" at the screen. (During the remaining portion of the episode, I was reduced to making wordless noises of dismay/joy/overwhelmedness.) Wow. Just wow.
OK, I'll admit it: I did literally pump my fist and yell "CLIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFF!" when Daran Norris appeared onscreen.
The South African woman was meeting with Todd earlier in the episode (when Elizabeth was meeting with Hans in the car). Long shot and you only hear their voices faintly, but I remember the red hair.
Little-known fact: Rafael's Romance Novel Wig also starred as Phillip's Dirtbag Janitor Wig in an early episode of "The Americans."
God, this episode was just devastatingly good from start to finish. Wow.
Ditto to, well, pretty much everything. This ep was simply boring - though I have to say, I was charmed by Andrew eating some of the raspberries off the counter after the berry dump.
How can they NOT make a pilot? They already have the amazing credits!
I regret to inform you all that I died at exactly 4:06 minutes into this episode, upon witnessing Michael's imaginary family portrait with Jane. The khaki shorts! The sweaters! But most importantly, their younger son, with his perfect "I don't know what you're trying to get away with, Mr. Photographer, but I am not…
Last week's amazing Liz metaphor (fire extinguishers on fire) is a tough act to follow but damn if they didn't manage it. "Monkeys flying by. On bikes. With iPads," is glorious. Also does anyone know where I can buy a copy of "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Earth, There's No Oxygen On Mars, You're Fucked, Sorry,…
My reaction to everything in this episode: I CALL SHENANIGANS.
"I'd be happy to apologize to you again if you think that will help." Douchiest line ever, or DOUCHIEST LINE EVER? Simply amazing.
Not with babies (…yet?) but literally every time I am holding a nice wine glass.
