Trinity had really been rubbing me the wrong way with her sourpuss "I don't sing I don't act I don't this I don't that" nonsense, but I really have to give it to her this week. "Rachel Zoe doesn't talk like that? …Oh. That's unfortunate." SO PERFECT.

"I may have had a coffee or three with my tea this morning."

[raises hand] I volunteer to stare wistfully at Katherine Moennig. [opens new tab in browser]

My problem with Gia is that she tries to be throwing shade constantly but a) she's often wrong and b) she's not funny in the least, so she just comes off as sour and humorless.

"You can't cross a line and then act like there's no line." The Darkness At Noon dialogue was just perfect.

BRB I have to knock on every single piece of wood in my vicinity. Bev is my favorite.

And that split-second recoil when she sees Paige, and Paige turns to reveal that her face is painted exactly like the other daughter? Oh man, I gasped and jumped in my seat, it was so viscerally powerful.

Between "robromance" and "chromophobia," this comment section is blessing us with the best-worst neologisms in years.

Yeah, I assumed the "real" story must be something like that but it was skimmed over so quickly amid the secretly blind we-still-catfish-each-other-in-the-future love story beats. It's not that I need things to be spelled out for me, but I'd prefer they pick *a* story and explore it fully, rather than taking a bunch

The "messages" in this show are always so muddled! Are we talking about someone with body dysmorphia, or an unfortunate test subject trying to get back the face he lost? Both? It could be both - although that's a lot of character backstory to make clear in one episode for a villain who dies at the end - but so often

A vast and growing army of Gina Caranos, if I have my druthers.

I can't decide what I want more: for "Lennon the gay disabled hockey player" to have been an actual role on One Tree Hill, or for the Girls writers to have crafted the perfect stealth burn. I'm afraid to look up the actor who played Desi - my hopes will be dashed either way.

NAILED IT.

That supremely awkward hug was the line of the night for me. Just perfect.

I agree pretty much entirely with this review. This episode made me wish for the alternate-universe version, when it comes in the middle of season 3 or 4 and the show knows what it's about and is able to take some bigger swings.

"You're not just a badge number and a questionable haircut."

If you see something, TACKLE SOMETHING.

AHA thank you, he looked so familiar and I could not figure out what else I'd seen him in. And I was too lazy to google. Just goes to show, if you wait long enough, the internet will spontaneously tell you what you want to know.
